Some background about the shop: East West Provisions is located at 61a Woodstock Road, opposite St. Anne’s College.
The shop is a high quality convenience store. We stock a large range of products including groceries, fresh fruit & vegetables, flowers, wine & spirits, fresh meats, cheeses and deli products. The shop is fairly small, but can be extremely busy and so anyone working here needs to be able to work under pressure at times.
We try to be significantly better than most convenience stores – we work hard to exceed our customer’s expectations and give genuinely good service. Our stock is well presented, the shop is clean and tidy, fresh produce is always fresh! We expect high standards.
The work is a mixture of serving customers and re-stocking the shop. Whilst serving the customers we would like you to be able to converse with the customers in a relaxed and appropriate manner. Re-stocking the shop is unglamorous but important as we want the shelves to be full at all times. It is generally quite busy work, but fun if you enjoy interacting with others. It is not at all like working in a supermarket.
The shop is open from 7.00am to 9.00pm during the week, and 8.00am to 8.00pm on Saturday and Sunday.
